Image Print Size Calculator
Know the image's pixel dimensions? Enter a print width to estimate its proportional height, effective PPI and whether it meets your chosen target.
PPI is a size calculation, not a print-quality guarantee.
This page is not ready yet, so inputs remain disabled. Reload and try again.
Calculation result
- Proportional print size
- Input image dimensions
- Effective PPI
- Your selected target
PPI is displayed to two decimal places; target status uses the exact, unrounded value.
- Minimum pixel dimensions for this target
Enter the pixel dimensions and print width, then select Calculate to see the result.
Inputs are calculated in this page and are not saved or uploaded. The first page load still downloads the website files.
This calculator does not read or modify the image or assess the printer, paper, color, viewing distance or final print quality.
About print size and PPI
What is effective PPI?
It is the image's pixel count divided by the specified print size in inches. It estimates image pixel density; it is not printer DPI and does not guarantee visual quality.
How is print height calculated?
The calculator keeps the input pixel aspect ratio and derives the height from your requested print width. It does not crop or stretch the image.
Is 300 PPI right for every print?
No. It is an editable starting reference. Print method, paper, viewing distance and intended use all affect the target you may choose.
Does the calculator upload or modify my image?
No. This version calculates only the pixel dimensions, print width and target PPI you enter in the current page. It does not read an image file or save your inputs.
